Lack Of Time Management Will Mess Up Your Relationships - Learn How To Balance Your Life
Do you ever run out of time to get things done. It seems like lately every time I turn around someone is adding to my workload. This morning in the midst of all my work I had a tire blow out. Best I can figure that added two hours into my day. Two hours that was already accounted for elsewhere. So how do we make our lives work more smoothly so that we can spend quality time with those we love? Priorities are everything, how do you know what is really important? Goal setting, how do you know you are making any progress? Stress relief, every pressure cooker has a relief valve you should too!
Priorities really make life run more smoothly. Think about this, everyone you have ever met has the same 24 hours in a day. The difference is that some people know how to make the most out of it. Sit down right now and right out a list of the top ten things that matter to you in your life. This is your list. Refine this list over the coming days. Never, ever let a priority that is a nine beat out a one or a two. Figure out your priorities and stick to them.
The most important thing you can do for yourself is setting goals. It has been said before that there is magic in writing down your goals. I agree 100%, this is another sit down assignment. Site down, take out a pen and write out what you want to achieve. You will make a real commitment to these things when you attach a date to them. Then put this list where you can see it every single day. Keeping your goals in front of you will keep you motivated. Make sure to cross check this list with your priorities.
Every pressure cooker has a pressure relief valve. There has to be a pressure relief valve in your life, you have to relieve stress somehow. I relieve stress by volunteering and by writing. Figure out what is a stress reliever for you and make sure it is somewhere quite high on your priorities list. Rest is very important, we are not made of unbreakable materials, take a rest. Give yourself a break when you need it.
When life gangs up on you it can be hard to maintain a good relationship with anyone. It often seems that the people we love are the ones we strike out against the most. Focus on these three points this week and I can assure you it will help you manage your life a lot better. Focus on your priorities, set goals and watch them come to be, and learn to give yourself a break.
