Winter Golf

by Daniel Travis - Brown

As we are well on the way in to winter, those of us who take great pleasure and relaxation while playing golf may find the seasonal holidays to be a frustrating time of the year. Conditions become far colder and this is quite likely to affect your performance on the course.

Winter golf may not seem to have many benefits; but don't get sick of the weather too soon. Golf 24/7 have some great tips and suggestions to help you make the most of this winter and help keep your flame for golf burning all the way through to spring!

Choose your destination

It's fair to say that winter in the UK is widely recognised as being consistently cold, wet and dreary; this is not to say every other country suffers the same problem. Those who hope to take some time out and play some serious golf this winter could consider booking a break to one of the many golfing resorts around the world. Many offer winter break deals and discount packages, so looking into this early in the year is a sure fire way to secure your spot on the resort and enjoy warm, relaxing conditions during winter.

Use winter equipment

There are a few products available to you that can make a large difference to your winter golf experience. With harsh winds, possible low lying fogs and drizzle, purchasing a pack of yellow golf balls is a wise idea. This can help to track your ball while airborne and once in the rough. Winter golf boots are also an excellent idea when shopping for waterproof and insulated golf wear. Giving added grip and stability from strong rubber platforms, these sturdy and water resistant boots can ensure you're still warm and dry by the 18th hole.

Winter savings

One thing that can certainly be of use to you this winter is taking advantage of the fantastic savings that some online golf stores offer. Whether you are looking to buy some speciality winter equipment and clothing or you're planning an escape to enjoy winter golf in the sun, you're sure to find that there are some great savings available to you. There are truly remarkable amounts of money to be saved, whether it is on golf club sets or seasonal equiptment. What better time to take full advantage of this than before a relaxing golfing break or practice sessions at your local driving range.
