Tips for Procrastinators

by Erica Montgomery

In this country millions of Americans put aside or procrastinate duties they need to fulfill. Especially teenagers like myself, whom always seem to find time for: parties, talking on the phone, hanging out with their best friends, and the ever popular, watching television. Have you ever wondered why this is so? Do you feel you may need a little advice? You are not alone I myself was a procrastinator and a spontaneous girl. In my journey to become a better and more prepared person; I realize that if I desire something enough then I need to get off my butt and do it. Yes, this does sound much easier said than done. Believe me I understand that there is also a time to be spontaneous and not have to worry about schedules. That is why I wrote this article, to help YOU find time to do what YOU need to do. There is nothing greater than the feeling of completing something and knowing that you worked hard on the task. Here are some tips to help YOU have time for work, fun, and free time...

1.schedule your day- always have some sort of approximation of time to be doing schoolwork or projects, having fun, and talking on the phone, or whatever you do in YOUR spare time.

2.Follow~up- Keep up with your schedule. Not just for one or two days but for the rest of your life. I assure YOU that as time progresses it will become more and more simple, for YOU and YOUR friends to live by a schedule.

3.Get others to join YOU- The more people you have working on a schedule with YOU; The easier it will be for YOU to work with a schedule. That way you won't have the temptations to go out and party when YOU know YOU have a five page report due the next day.

Those are some simple tips that YOU, and YOUR friends can work on and follow up upon.
