The desire to research and find a treatment for toenail fungus is usually brought about out of a sense of frustration. Fighting this problem is a long term effort and many have feelings of annoyance due to a lack of effective therapies.

The difficulty in dealing with fungi or onychomycosis, it's scientific name, is that it is considered a chronic condition. Chronic simply means that it's difficult to completely cure and get rid of. This, along with the fact that many therapies for a wide variety of human ailments simply do not work 100% of the time for everyone. This can make us research and look for a treatment for toenail fungus on our own.

Fungi are living organisms that are members of the mushroom family. They reproduce and grow in many places that are damp and warm including your shoes. How much of the chronic nature of the problem is caused by re-infection is unknown. Ok, it's chronic and difficult to cure but coming into contact with the infection again isn't a good idea. We may accidentally come into contact with the source of the fungus because we don't take adequate precautions to eliminate those sources in our homes. If so, we need to start thinking proactively instead of reactively.

While re-infection hasn't been proven, it makes sense to limit the opportunity for the toenail fungus to come into contact with your feet anyway. One way to do this is to keep your shoes and feet as dry as possible. This may mean changing shoes in the middle of the day or even taking them off is possible. Another idea is to buy several pairs of special insoles for your shoes. Simply switch the insoles daily to help control moisture and sweat.

If possible, consider swapping out your footwear every other day. This will allow one set of shoes to completely dry out while wearing the other. At the very least, place your shoes where they can be dried by air movement. Maybe by the door or even outside are good choices. At the very least put them out in a room and not in the closet.

Consider these two alternatives to treat nail fungus

a natural alkaline product that can alter ones Ph balance if taken internally. If used externally, it can also change the acidity/ alkaline balance of that area.

A treatment for toenail fungus using Vinegar Vinegar is considered one of the key ingredients in many nail fungus therapies. The reason is that it's been shown to be effective for many who use vinegar consistently to treat the infection. The importance of using any solution for this condition is consistent, daily treatment.

There are many home products that people have used to try and treat their fungi. These include many items from the kitchen pantry including, garlic or olive oils, Cayenne pepper and even Oregano. Most simply do not work and again leave the person unhappy and frustrated with the results.

FUNG-B-GONE is a product that uses vinegar as a base to quickly change the Ph, of the fungus growth area which has been known to work for many people suffering with this problem. FUNG-B-GONE is a great treatment for toenail fungus that will give you clear youthful nails.

Regardless of the therapy you prefer from the homeopathic world, be aware that re-infection may cause continued problems with the condition and take adequate measures to protect yourself and loved ones.
