Britney Spears for Candie's Campaign
Pop Princess and all around performer Britney Spears just launched her recent campaign with Candie's for their line of sweet but sexy lingerie. Last time she had a campaign with Candie's, the brand was blamed for heavily airbrushing the Popstar. Due to her recent completion of a 97-date world tour last year, her body was more toned than ever. This time around, it seems there was little digital enhancements made to her shot for the campaign. Returning as the face of Candie's this secont time around, the 28-year old mother-of-two looks stunning while flaunting her curves in a flirty floral two-piece lingerie set. The campaign for Spring/Summer 2010 ads included the work of three of the world's top photographers: Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Terry Richardson for three very different shoots.
Terry Richardson shot the 28-year old in a very minimal environment with only a fuchsia teddy bear as a prop. Posing suggestively in her floral bra and panty set, the once tartlette could almost be mistaken for wearing a sexy costume as a sweet dream girl. Leibovitz, who frequently shoots for Vanity Fair magazine shot Britney Spears in a stark room sitting on a chair in a black dress flip her hair for more playful feel. Seliger, known for the Moulin rouge like sets, captured Spears against a busy backdrop of feather boas, flowers, and pink furniture and adornments.
The ads will be launched for Candie's Only at Kohl's and be published in various magazines. Spears was enthused about having the opportunity to shoot with such world renowned photographers such as Richardson, Seliger and Leibovitz. The shoots look amazing and Britney certainly makes the sexy lingerie even more appealing with her charisma and charm. To her own personal preference, she is noted as loving the Leibovitz shot most.
Chief marketing officer of Iconix Brand Group Inc., Dari Marder, has been noted to say that hiring Britney Spears to front the Candie's campaigns has been hugely successful. Although it is difficult to pinpoint sales directly from the marketing campaign, Marder states that overall it has been one of the best years for the Candie's brand. It is up for consideration to keep using Spears as their spokes model for the entire line of apparel including their fun and sexy shoes.
