There are many things you can do to help find the perfect partner on many different levels. People will approach this in many different ways. Some will go for the elaborate flair and others take a more simple approach. Some people will pre-plan before entering a relationship in the hopes that will choose their mate wisely to avoid future problems. <br>If pre-planning is your thing then it is a good idea to plan what your perfect mate should be like. Of course there is no such thing as the perfect mate but if you have an idea in mind you will come closer to the target than if you are just shooting blindly into the dating bullseye. You can be selective. Even if you feel like you are desparate and want to grab onto the first person that comes along - don't! There are plenty of eligible partners to go around.<br>Your pre-planning should include some basic steps. The first should be to make a list of the qualities and characteristics that you want in a partner. A quality is the standard of something while the characteristic is the feature that makes someone recognizable. For example - honesty and humor are a persons characteristics while the quality of the person is really the standard in which they live up to those characteristics, i.e. he has a high moral character. You should list as many qualities and characteristics on your list that you can think of, no matter how ridiculous or unrealistic they may be. Your preliminary list should define the perfect person for you. Once that list is complete then go through it again and start to eliminate those items that you could live without. Continue this process until you feel like you have a list of reasonable qualities and characteristics that you would like to have in a mate.<br>Once this list is complete you now have to get in the mind set that not everyone will fit or fill every item on it. You will try to find someone that comes close to it though. Don't be discouraged if you can't find someone that possesses all of your ideal characteristics. The main thing here is that you have given this some thought. You now have a framework to work from that can help guide your decision making process when trying to choose your partner.
