Themes That Make Homecoming Celebrations Fun

There are numerous types of homecomings such as someone coming home from a military stint, a football team homecoming, to a couple coming home from a honeymoon.

There are dozens of themes that will work for a High School Homecoming; but the best may be whatever the theme was at that class' Senior Prom.

There is no way to adequately express the way a family feels when there service man or woman returns home, but a Homecoming celebration will speak louder than words. Patriotic decorations such as flags, buntings, personalized banners, sparklers, and ribbons.

Loved One Homecoming Party - Has a loved one been away from home for a very long time because of business? Plan a surprise homecoming party with friends and family members. Another option is to have an intimate, romantic one-on-one party. For a family friend type of homecoming party, include various party supplies and decorations such as a Welcome Back banner, balloons, confetti, blowouts, and tableware items. Let someone know how much they were missed by having a Homecoming Celebration.

Plan the homecoming in advance so everyone who is invited has an opportunity to make his or her own arrangements. There are numerous ways to plan a surprise party such as sending invitations to guests or calling them up individually. Ensure that the invites guests keep the party a secret, so reinforce the point that the party is a secret.

There are lots of similarities between a birthday party and a Homecoming. The only difference being instead of saying happy birthday when the individual walks in the room say something to welcome back or welcome home. Regardless of the theme selected or food served, the most important is the people who attend the homecoming party.

Don't forget the Homecoming games, they add to any party. For an individual who has been on a very long business trip, maybe for 6 months, they might not have the energy to play such games. Just because the person who is finally home may not want to participate does not mean others do not also.
