This article will look at some of the facilities that are on some of our motorways, focussing on five truck stops. </br></br> A1 Quernhow Café & Lorry Park </br></br> • Due to recent A1 alterations you now have to take the Rippon A61 Junction to visit Quernhow Café; there is easy access to get back on to the A1 when you leave. • Quernhow Truckstop offers a wide selection of food and drink at competitive motorway café prices, with a fast and friendly service and a large indoor seating area. • If you want to stop overnight or a little longer, Quernhow provides a selection of clean rooms at very competitive prices. • Parking is located in front of the café, which is free to use for any vehicle or HGV as long as you are purchasing from the café; however overnight parking for HGV's is £6.50 per night. </br></br> M6 north Truckhaven (Carnforth) Ltd </br></br> • Truckhaven Carnforth is located 2 minutes away from junction 35 of the M6; here you will be able to fill your belly and your fuel tank to the brim with 27-ensuite bedrooms where you will be able to get a good night's sleep; all rooms also have tea & coffee making facilities and colour television. • With the extensive hard standing areas for overnight stays, you have the peace of mind that the floodlit parking is under 24 hour surveillance through both CCTV cameras and Security Patrols. • The Petrol forecourt caters for both petrol and diesel tanks; there is also a high speed commercial area which caters for keyfuels and Redfuel cards. • The high canopy (16'6") ensures that even the largest vehicles can be quickly and safely be refuelled. </br></br> M1 Junction 23 Truck-stop </br></br> • Junction 23 truck stop has 180 parking spaces for heavy goods vehicles, all in a fully fenced compound with 24/7 CCTV. • Facilities include: diesel fore court, shop and truck washing bay. • The fore-court accepts credit cards and fuel cards. • The café is open from 6am to 9pm, Monday to Friday and 6am to 11am on Saturdays; the Restaurant is open from 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday, however hot and cold food is available 24/7. • Satellite T.V which shows live sporting events from Sky Sports is also available. </br></br> M1 north The Stockyard </br></br> • The Stockyard comes with a twist; don't think greasy spoon and Formica tables… think fresh, home cooked food with a warm and friendly atmosphere, where everyone is welcome. • The Stockyard has a lorry park which can accommodate 200+ lorries; it is 80% tarmacked with plans to completely tarmac the whole surface in the near future • Easy access and exit for even the longest lorries is a key feature; • The lorry park is surrounded by a security fence and has a combined entrance and exit which is monitored by CCTV and number plate recognition system. • Future plans include adding a multi pump fuel station and outside toilet facilities. • Facilities include hot showers and quality fresh food that is cooked on the premises. </br></br> M6 north Nightowl Truckstop Carlisle </br></br> • Carlisle Truckstop is in an ideal location just off the M6 at junction 44; • You can be confident with the sites secure by design accreditation and ample facilities that both you and your vehicle will be looked after with approximately 200 truck stops. • Facilities include: Budget accommodation for that extra good night's sleep, Perimeter electric fence and road blockers, ANPR vehicle recognition cameras and security patrol, Restaurant, shower facilities and bar with a television lounge, featuring Sky TV. • The Truckstop also has high speed diesel and gas oil pumps which are open 24/7. </br></br> The above mentioned trucks tops are only a handful of truck stops that are on our motorways, however, once you have planned the stops you are going to make on your long journey always remember that your http://insurance-hgv.co.uk/ is up to date and covers you for every eventuality http://www.insurance-hgv.co.uk/other-products/info_1.html.
