Herniated Disc Treatment Using Alternative Medicine

A disc herniation occurs when the outer fibrous ring of a disc has been ruptured and the soft gel-like interior nucleus pulposus has leaked out. Ruptures are almost always postero-lateral in nature due to the presence of the posterior longitudinal ligament in the spinal canal. Most herniated discs occur in the low back at the L4-L5 lumber vertebrae, because this area is constantly absorbing the impact of bearing the weight of the upper body while we are standing, sitting or moving.
