Lose Weight For The Summer Tips

Hi Ladies, we have been waiting around patiently through our winter months for this time. SUMMER. it has arrived and caught us by surprise regardless of our perennial promises to ourselves to do something about our appearance before it arrived; but here we are with a bigger waistline and a bigger hip-line than our bikinis will allow us.

So, what do we do? Give up? Never! As in all matters, we have the positives and we have the negatives. On the positive side, doctors tell us that losing our belly fat is not hard at all. As a matter of fact, it is supposed to be the first kind of fat we lose when we apply ourselves.

On the negative side, we have several factors; One of the main ones, middle age, another, motherhood, both of which do a fantastic job on our hormones. We look at ourselves and get upset when the mirror doesn't exactly reflect what we would like to see.

We should not compound the situation by eating the wrong things and or the wrong amounts because of it, yet we know that as we grow older, our ability to lose the weight we so easily gain becomes harder and harder, another reason being that our metabolism slows down or we are hypo-thyroid. At this point, consult your physician or an Endocrinologist.

Today we are becoming more and more conscious of the fact that eating canned, bagged and or boxed foods has not exactly been the best way to go. All we have accomplished is to compromise our health our weight and if we have children, their health, and their weight, that of our husbands, significant others or whoever we live with or lives with us. If you want proof, look around you. I will not use the word "all", but I will use the word "usually", when you see and overweight parent there usually will be an overweight child because the whole family is eating the same things.

Statistically, we are bound to live longer than our ancestors did, although they probably ate healthier than we do today, but science was just a baby and not very much help. Now, science has come a long way, research is constantly studying what we should be consuming and what not, what nutrients we need, and what vitamins.

We do not want to age, so, science studies and informs us what we should be taking as far as antioxidants are concerned. It is important that we pay attention to the facts.

Ladies, we are in the pay with plastic generation. Yes, it is more convenient, and practical, but did you know that people who pay with plastic tend to spend more on groceries and junk food than those who pay with cash? When we plan to go grocery shopping, we could try to do so with cash and compare our bill then with our previous card bills. Did you also know that keeping your weight down by using less salt in your food, may also decrease your risk of suffering from PMS?

When you shop for food, do so by keeping on the fringes of the store where the vegetables and fruits are; when you get to the meats department, remember that any preserved meats contain nitrite, it is used by the industry to enhance the color of the meats and prolong their shelve life, but the down-side of that is that the nitrite chemical stays in your system and in combination with other chemicals can become a carcinogenic. Of course, as with everything, we should eat these meats very sporadically, if at all and I would certainly not feed them to my children.
