Having good study techniques is very important for success in school at every level: grade school, middle school, high school and college. Believe it or not, good study techniques will also help you throughout your adult life in any profession.
It's always good to have a variety of study habits and tricks in your arsenal. Sometimes learning comes quickly and sometimes it doesn't.

Depending on your life and personality there are different times of the day that will be better for you in terms of studying and learning. Whatever time that is for you try and be as consistent as possible. Studying at the same time helps make it a habit for you and aids in your learning.
There are countless ways you can learn something like reading books and notes, listening to tapes, acting out key events. All of these are valid methods if they help you learn what you are studying. The trick is making sure you have a variety of study styles and techniques at your disposal in case things get difficult.
