Boost Your Immune System: Magical Green Tea Extract

by Guido Housemouser

Well, what a head-scratching (not the good kind of head-scratching) predicament! By peering into their window (as we kats are want to do), I've determined that my neighbor's household is in a state of dismay as all the humans, from tall to small, have terrible colds.

This is particularly troubling as a whole host of human company (no dogs allowed) will be visiting my own family's house soon and I'm hoping they don't bring any of those nasty bugs with them. I must admit that I am a great enthusiast of the edibles that accompany such get-togethers; crab dip in particular... so the thought of my humans getting sick, cancelling the get-together and thus me not licking delicious morsels off the floor to my heart's content is extremely disappointing.

I've had to take matters into my own paws if I wish to help my humans' to stay healthy in spite of everything that's going around. I was delighted to learn that Green Tea Extract is the perfect supplement for what may be lurking in wait for my humans.

Green Tea Extract is an herbal concentrate that contains powerful antioxidants; 20 times more potent than Vitamin C. It is associated with numerous health benefits including immune system support, cardiovascular health, and weight management among other things.. (And did you know that just one capsule of the Co-op's Green Tea Extract is the equivalent of 5 cups of green tea and that it is pleasantly decaffeinated for your comfort?)

I warn my beloved humans about protecting their immune systems all the time. But, sometimes, bless their hearts (did I mention that Green Tea Extract also supports heart health?), they get distracted (a problem I'm very familiar with as you can see). But alas, where was I?

Oh yes... the immune system is the initial line of defense against illnesses and Green Tea Extract helps boost that defense so it's at maximum fighting strength. The immune system is made up of white blood cells, or leukocytes. Leukocytes are found all over the human body and in the blood stream. Different types of leukocytes, such as neutrophils, monocytes, and macrophages (don't feel you have to commit these to memory, no one you talk to is likely to know them by name) act as guards, patrolling the body and safeguarding it from a variety of bad guys.

Wonderfully, as I mentioned, Green Tea Extract is also very beneficial to the human cardiovascular health. Green Tea Extract contains antioxidant polyphenols known as catechin. High levels of catechin help to maintain healthy cholesterol levels. Additionally heart positive, Green Tea Extract may help support appropriate blood pressure.

Finally, Green Tea Extract helps to improve energy levels which can assist with weight control and management. My tall, female human is always so pleased to hear this news, but I don't know why. Dieting sounds terrible (I'll never do it) and she's a beautiful human; just the perfect size lap.

Taking preventative measures is vital to keeping winter's bugs away. I know it will keep them feeling well. Maybe I should leave some on the neighbor's door step too. Hopefully it will keep everyone healthy so the holiday festivities can proceed without interruption. Bring on the crab dip!
