The Magic Ingredient

A Little Idea

by Tamir Qadree

When everything fades, and you begin to notice the setting sun or the rising sun you get a vision! The sun setting or its rising is a vision, a vision for you. It’s an idea, an invention a historical moment, there for you to express it. The waves on the ocean, the stormy sea, the snow on the ground, the pouring rain or the chilling cold and even in the scorching beams of the sun are visions for your pen, voice, smile, dance expression, etc.

Haven’t you noticed the poet’s secret? It’s nature! Nature has a vision and enduring dreams, and thoughts mingled with experiences; some pleasant and some not so easy on the mind and heart.

Haven’t you heard the vocalist lungs? They are but an expression of the lion roar, or the songbird’s serenade. Haven’t you seen the mechanics skills, and great craft? They are but an extension of the metals, and resources from the ground he or she stand on while repairing your car. It’s all vision! And it’s all yours. On the shores of your life you will find that special place that you’ve been dreaming of. Find it, and live life up, with a great big smile.

This is a poem, yet it’s a series of stories and adventures, at the same time. Vision for Success is what you must accept responsibility for if you are to achieve your goals. I am a student of the Wing Chun Martial Art, and in what we call the first form; its name is “Sil lim Tao” which means, “ a little idea.” While the stories and history of Wing Chun’s origin may vary, I think it’s safe to say that, it started with “a little idea,” and blossomed into one of the most popular forms of Martial Arts ever; it certainly got help from the Hollywood, who gave it universal popularity.

So many of us stumble through life, not knowing that all we need is a little idea, a vision to move forward, to take it to the next step of action and bringing it to reality. We give up so fast and get disheartened too easily, but if you would remember this, “the stronger the vision the more perseverance you will have.” The more you believe in your visualized idea, the more powerful it will become and doubt and impatience will lose strength, it will give up and not you! Your vision will not let you give up or give in if your cultivate it. You will be on “Auto-pilot.” You will be in a different league and you will not settle for less than achieving your vision. Your vision will have grabbed you and will not let you go. You know how people let food grab them and they become overweight, or become alcoholics, or drugs or sex, or gambling grabs them and they become addicts of countless vices? Wouldn’t it be nice if your righteous vision would grab you the same way? It can and will once you think on it every day.

Ponder it, love it, embrace it and talk about it. Most of all, pray about it, meditate in the manner you choose. It will become your twin, your “attached twin.” You will not be able to eat, sleep, or think one day without it, and it will not let you go until you feed it, nourish it, cultivate it with more vision and achieve it. You might ask, “How do I get this vision?” I strongly suggest that you look outside, look at nature, and the most natural scene you can find and just try not to think about anything, but take in the beauty and the stillness of life. Do this enough with a little idea you’ve always had and you will eventually develop a vision to coincide with what you desire. Why? Because looking into nature will help you realize what’s inside of you! Ultimately, what will determine your success or failure is what’s inside of you. This is Tamir Qadree, your friend and servant, and I wish you all the best vision for success. If you ever entertain any doubt about your dreams or visions, just remember that your visions are calling you and they demand that you don’t give up. They demand that you work to make them a reality. I have a message that I suggest you take to heart. I want you to show your vision something, because visions are employed by you, and here it is, “To show them GOD; that is the real intent, the motive, drive, goal, and the real aim of a true archer!”
