How To Increase Traffic Using Video Marketing On YouTube
Maybe it's something to do with the fact that Google owns YouTube, or maybe it's more to do with the fact that we all love to view and listen rather than read, but internet video marketing is all the rage.
You may notice that when you do a simple online search these days, you will invariably find video results sprinkled amongst the first page. If you are like the vast majority of people, these always seem to grab your attention right away.
Online video marketing should definitely be part of any marketing plan no matter what niche you are getting involved with. If you can write and publish a blog post on any subject, you can create and publish a video on YouTube as well.
Always bear in mind that the content must be first rate and simply must be interesting. You're not going to be able to garner sufficient attention to make reasonable money online unless the content you prepare and publish is up to par. It's got to be something that interests your readers and viewers and inspires them to believe in what you are saying. You are building authenticity and credibility - that's the name of the game.
Don't try and focus on creating a masterpiece that will somehow "go viral." The majority of us will never be involved with a video that has the potential to go viral and truth be told most of us would not be able to deal with the traffic that such an episode would create anyway. Consequently, just continue to focus on novelty and value for the reader.
Create a branded channel on YouTube. Make this channel look and feel as much like your home website as possible. Create a custom background and choose colours that closely match your own branding. Avoid using a generic design at all costs, as this will create a negative impression in the eyes of most people.
Start to populate your YouTube channel with your compositions. Be careful when uploading your files. Ensure that your specific keyword appears in the title. It's a good idea to have the keyword first followed by a colon and then a phrase to describe the video. Within the description field which appears immediately beneath your video make absolutely sure that a full clickable URL precedes anything else. Remember to put your secondary keywords in your description, as well.
It is possible to add annotations to your YouTube video that are effectively clickable calls to action. They can prompt the viewer to seek out more information, go to other videos or subscribe to your mailing list.
Once you have created your channel and the content therein do not forget to leverage using other social media platforms to draw attention to the existence of your channel. This means tweeting your content and posting to Facebook every time you update. Each time a new video is created this should inspire you to create a blog post to talk about it as well.
It won't happen overnight but over time you'll enjoy a steady stream of traffic using video marketing on YouTube.
