Staff Nurse Responsibilities Are Demanding But the Rewards Are Immeasurable
Staff Nurse is also referred as RGN or Registered General Nurse and RMN or Registered Mental Nurse which actually depend on their field of profession. Their respected duties in the medical discipline are much different from one another. Registered General Nurse or RGN are staff nurses who already have passed the particular board exam for nurses and now may start working without any specialization. The staff nurse' job is to keep close monitor on the patient's vital signs and also provide the required dosages of medications at the right time. It is also their duties to explain some of the basic details and information to the patient's relative and family as regards to the medications given to the patients. Usually staff nurse works in a group and they often do the planning and implementation of proper methods as regards to nursing care. The senior staff nurse is the one who supervises the group. He or she handles all the overall performance of the staff nurse group.
Staff nurse must be knowledgeable about the patient's medical background. This is important as this will help them provide the right amount of medication each patient needs. It is also their duties to finish all the necessary paper works and reports assigned to them.
