Here Are A Couple Of Suggestions For What To Do With Yokohama Tires After You've Driven All The Miles Out From them

by Donald Z. Bower

There's no doubt that a person who has a set of quality Yokohama tires can get every last mile out of them before they have to be replaced, but the time that they will have to be replaced is certainly inevitable. Most motorist get all the use they can out of their wheels and just throw them out without a minute of thought, but if you were so inclined, you could actually hang on to them and use them for something a bit more interesting. Some people likely already have some neat ideas that they cannot wait to try, but the following are a few ideas for the people who have not yet thought of anything.

Many adults these days probably remember playing on an old tire swing while they were growing up and would agree that a swing is one of the very best things to make with an old tire. All one has to do to create one of these swings is find a large tree out in their yard that has a branch that is sturdy enough to support the weight of a child and hangs low enough to tie the rope onto. As long as you can find a good place to hang your swing, making it is as simple as tying a strong piece of rope between the branch or beam and the tire that the children will be sitting in.

Believe it or not, there are actually many playgrounds that are made of nothing more than a bunch of recycled tires and provide kids with tons of great things to play on. You could use tires to build things like swings and bridges on your playground, or you could simply use them to provide padding and protection on an existing playground.

For an extra special touch in your garden and a bit of extra protection for your flowers, you could use a tire as a planter by applying a lovely coat of paint to it and planting the flowers in the middle. It is not hard at all to pull this one off, because you just lay the tire on the ground wherever you want it, paint it whatever color you want it to be, fill it up with soil and proceed to plant whatever flowers you like in it.

Some people are able to find enough used tires to cut them in two and use them to create some interesting looking borders around their driveway or other sections of their yard. With a high quality set of Yokohama tires, it's difficult not to think of ways to get just a little more worth out of them, even after you've driven them for their very last mile.
