Eight Rules to Help you Get In-Shape
by Douglas Stoddard
So what is dude diet? Well, it is a diet of course (I really do not like the word diet, I just called it a diet so everyone can figure out what it is) that is specifically for dudes! Now you may be asking yourself, why the heck is this dude posting a Diet on the web? Well, there are a couple of reasons:Firstly, I was recently very successful at getting into shape and several people have asked me how I did it, so I decided to share it with everyone! It helped me; maybe it will help some other dudes! Secondly, I am tired of listening to or reading about the latest fad diet like Atkins, South Beach, Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers (btw, If I overhear another person asking how many points are in a cheeseburger, I am going to scream!) and that subway sandwich guy. Hey don’t get me wrong, these fad diets are great marketing gimmicks and have made billions of dollars off people who don’t have a clue, but they suck at helping people understand food and their body. Here is my personal opinion on these fad diets.Atkins: I tried this stupid ass diet once for about 2 weeks. Even though, I like high protein foods, I felt like junk after just one week! I was irritable and forcing myself to eat those disgusting protein bars! You know it seems like a good idea, but something just isn’t right. My opinion is to stay away!South Beach: I thought about trying this one, but after reading about it in an article, I thought it was either too complex or I was just too lazy to read an entire book. It is clearly a marketing driven diet; you have to buy something to learn about it. My opinion is to stay away! Weight Watchers: Never tried it. I knew several people that joined, I always heard people talking about points, weigh-ins and paying lots of money. Never seen any of them get in shape. Besides, I have never seen a dude in weight watchers, just women. My opinion is to stay away!Jenny Craig: Same as Weight Watchers, just different name. My opinion is to stay away!Subway: Just plain stupid! Actually, I am stupid for even mentioning it again. I never eat there anyways. That’s it, my comprehensive review and analysis of fad diets. Dude, face the facts, they are not about helping you; they are about helping people money. I think getting in shape should not cost you anymore money then what you typically spend on food, although I guess if I could make lots of money selling people a diet, I would be a happy man. The only money I make from this is a bit of advertising dollars (that is if you actually visit the sponsor links), but if you have a burning desire to send some money send me an email and I will tell you where to mail the check dude! I am confident that if you follow the information I have posted here, you will be in much better shape than any of these fad diets. Now let me cut the to the chase and discuss the 8 dude rules to help you get in shape.IntroductionLet me start off by telling you the story of my success. Last June (2005) I weighed about 206lbs (93.6kg for the rest of the world) and I am about 6 feet tall. I felt like a damn fat bastard, so I decided to get serious this time about getting in shape. I thought long and hard about how I would accomplish it. After lots of researching
