by Chelsea Nicole

If you are serious about your marketing campaign using full color booklets, you must always be vigilant and guard against mistakes and possible blunders. There are many things that can go wrong in color booklet printing, and you should try to really minimize or even totally eliminate the chances of those happening to you. So for the sake of your color booklet printing, let me give you the campaign failing booklet blunders that you must avoid to ensure your booklet marketing campaign is successful.

1. Printing in the wrong size/template – One of the worst blunders that you can commit for booklet printing is printing the wrong sized booklet or using an inappropriate booklet template. As you should know, there are a lot of different booklet templates that can be used for marketing.

However, there are specific booklet templates that are only ideal for specific situations. If you do not know about these and just pick the one that looks great, there is a high risk that some of your marketing booklets won’t fit in effectively for a good marketing campaign. That is why it is crucial for you to always be careful and decide on the most appropriate booklet template for your marketing campaigns.

2. Printing in the wrong quality – Another key blunder that you should avoid in booklet printing is choosing the wrong kind of quality for a certain batch of booklets. This is actually typically the case when people always want to go print cheap color booklets but find that those cheap prints do not perform as good for their job. In most cases, good quality prints are best, and you should actually strive to at least spend as much as you can on the best and thickest paper material as possible.

3. Bad cover titles – Some of the worst blunders in booklet printing are booklets with bad cover titles. Believe me, there are still a lot of odd marketing booklets out there that have very cheesy, offensive or even downright dumb cover titles. They may be deliberate or not, but they will of course cause the downfall of all of those cover booklets.

That is why it is important for you to actually test out your titles first. Even if you have (in your opinion) to be the best booklet cover title in the world, it pays to get some initial feedback from colleagues, friends and even some random sample of your target audience. The more feedback you get, the more you can make sure that your titles are not bad.

4. Bad cover image – If bad titles are a problem, another common blunder are bad cover images. By this though, I do not mean designers choosing ugly images. I actually mean here that sometimes people choose an inappropriate or ineffective image for booklet marketing.

The cover should not just have a pretty picture. It should also actually be designed for the eyes of your target readers. If not and it is not optimized for the tastes and preferences of your target readers, then this of course will become a bad cover image for your booklets. So always try to be aware of your choice of booklet images and make sure that it is ideal for your target audiences.

5. Wrong content organization – Finally, one of the worst blunders that you should avoid in booklet printing is basically doing the wrong content organization for your draft. Basically you have to have a logical outline and table of contents in your booklet for it to be effective in marketing. Otherwise this can cause serious trouble and your readers will actually reconsider reading your marketing booklets cover to cover. That is why it is important to always organize your content first at the outset of your booklet development.

Great! Now print these items out and always refer to them as you go about your booklet printing and marketing campaign. Avoid all these potential campaign-failing blunders and you should have a happy healthy time with your full color booklet marketing.
