How to achieve peace of mind through Self-Hypnosis
I am someone who has suffered from major depression and anxiety my entire life. It was getting to the point that I was becomming physically paralyzed by a perpetual loop of negative thoughts that I could not shut off. My medication was helping me so I wasn't completely dysfunctional, but I had to find a way to bring my thoughts under control. One day when I was surfing the net about mental health, I uncovered a site that offered downloadable hypnotherapy. Without taking it too seriously, I bookmarked it and linked it to my web site. One night, I decided to give it a try and I downloaded the file "Stop Obsessive Thoughts" to my computer and listened to it before I went to bed.
In this download, a hypnotherapist with a pleasant Australian accent helped me visualize a relaxing place and helped me to imagine a watch face in which the wheels and cogs of the watch represented my thoughts. He gently walked me through the practice of bringing my thumb and forefinger together which pulled the watches lever and slowed down the cogs and the wheels, which represented my obsessive thoughts.
Quite frankly, the results of this hypnotherapy have been nothing short of phenomenal for me. I feel like I just got out of a mental prison. My stress and compulsive thoughts were so severe that they were not allowing me to access my mind and imagination. Since I've been listening to the downloads, I feel like I am blossoming mentally and ideas and inspirations are popping up in my head all the time. Now, I can't wait to get up in the morning and embrace the day.
If you'd like to try some of the downloads that have worked for me, just let me know and I can e-mail one to you as an attachment. Or you can go to my website to read more articles about it and take a look at the huge library of downloadable hypnosis sessions. You can even learn hypnotherapy for free.
I almost feel it's my life's mission to bring these techniques to more people to help free them from the mental balls and chains that so many of us are shackled with.
