Review of the Boney James Smooth Jazz Music CD - Body Language

by Clyde Lee Dennis

One word describes the CD Body Language from Boney James... AWESOME!

Refreshingly, Body Language was one of those CDs I was able to just pop in and listen to comfortably from beginning to end. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty

easy for me to listen to from start to finish. Grabbing your attention right from the start with a very catch track in Are You Ready?

This is a musically varied, mix of 9 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly superb artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes

for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I gather are personal experiences from having lived the music.

One of the nicer things about a CD like this is when the talent is this rich even if Smooth Jazz isn’t your favorite genre you still can’t help but appreciate the greatness

of the artist.

Listen to this CD and I believe you’ll find there's not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and once again Boney's horn

blowing is simply spectacular. Of particular note on this offering is his completely engulfing rendition of Boneyizm. If you're even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you'll

enjoy this album.

While this entire album is outstanding some of my favorites are track 1- Are You Ready?, track 2 – Into The Blue and, track 7 – Bedtime Story.

My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 5, Boneyizm. You simply gotta love Boneyizm!
