Local Internet Marketing Ignored
Local Internet Marketing has been a very small concern in the Online marketing community. The reason is because of the lack of volume that local online marketing is associated with. Funny, because we live in a ¡°real¡± world, so you would think that searches would are mostly local in nature. When I type in a search for Indian Restaurant, it is clear to me that I am looking for one in my area. It will be up to ISP¡¯s and Search Engines to work together for making this goal more obtainable.
Being a San Diego Internet Marketing company, www.evisibility.com would love to get local traffic coming into our site. The reason is that someone in San Diego who types in "Internet Marketing Company" would be more likely to use my services versus another internet marketing company in Miami. In fact, the industry says that someone is 4 times more likely to use a local service or buy a product from someone in their area versus in another location.
Not only do Search Engine need to get better, people need to search better, and business need to start demanding local search marketing as a core component to their campaign. This would change and turn the entire industry into a cleaner, higher converting one.
