How to Get Out of Full Screen Mode in Linux's Terminal Server Client

by Lonnie Lee Best

This tip is for someone who is (1) currently remoted into a Microsoft Windows machine from a Linux machine in Full Screen mode and (2) who can't figure out how to toggle back to their Linux desktop.

The solution is <CTRL>-<ALT>-<enter>. In other words hold down the CTRL key, the ALT key, and the "enter" key (all at the same time).

I've used the Linux Terminal Server Client in the Fedora and Ubuntu distributions and CTRL/ALT/ENTER toggles between the local and remote desktops in them. I'm suspect that this will also apply to most other Linux distributions as well.
