There are some helpful books and magazines available to help those creative juices to start to flow. The following are a few books and magazines that assist me when I am having a mental block.
A must have book for all scrapbookers is Becky Higgins Creative Sketches. It's full of layout sketches and ideas to explain those sketches. It's organized by the amount of pictures you want to use so it's terribly easy to find exactly what you want. I use this so often that the pages are beginning to fall apart! You can use the sketches and layouts to get some ideas or you can copy them exactly.
Creating Keepsakes Magazine is a great magazine for the intermediate to advanced scrapper. It focuses on several unique techniques and has many articles to help inspire you. It also includes many layouts from scrappers around the globe. It centers on extravagant layouts with many embellishments.
If you are a beginner or you just want to create simpler layouts Simple Scrapbooks Magazine would be perfect for you. It's a sister magazine to Creating Keepsakes so it offers the same things: layouts and articles. It also features mini albums.
Many helpful and creative ideas can be found in the media. Every one offers different things. In order to find a book you would really use often, you must look at your techniques and decide what your focus is.
