Outsource Work Online

Outsourcing sites have got their own individual approach. However, they all ask of the same thing from people. In most of these sites, a person posts the description of a job, gives an option for people to bid on the specific job and then gets an opportunity to negotiate with the bidders about price, previous work history and previous ratings before settling on a contract rate.

The whole outsourcing process can be overwhelming in the beginning. Each site has got its own system of use and its own layout. In fact, some of these sites can take days to get used to. Deciding on the appropriate outsourcing sites to use while at the same time trying to balance effective results and competitive rates is not a walk in the park.

Elance: This site allows people to either hire by projects done or hours spent. It also has a workroom where files, messages and screenshots are saved in and it is also where a person is able to manage and view any wok that is in progress. As for the payments, a person needs to approve timesheets or milestones before payment is made. Elance deducts about 6.75% to 8.75% from the payment made and the balance is transferred to the Elance account of the service provider. This site is most suitable for jobs where you need a team which possesses top-notch technical skills.

Globeskill.com: I came accross little known GlobeSkill, whose key objective is unique. The site targets service providers from countries whose members are disadvantaged in that they can not be able to withdraw money from their paypal accounts. The site seems to be targeting a specific niche of online writers from Kenya and IT Gurus from India. Kenyan writers have recently received global recognition for being amongst the best non-native writers in the english language on one hand whereas India's prowless in IT related projects is undisputed. Despite focusing on this growing niche, Globeskill seems to be offering the best rates in the market. Project commission fee is as low as 4% for employers. This fee is being waived for the early birds who post projects before 30th June 2013. Additionally, it has a top-notch customer care team that will take care of any queries you may have.

Freelancer: When you hire someone to work on your projects, a person will have to create milestones for payment and once it is completed, then the payment will be released. Therefore, the payment is based on work completed. The site is best for work that is project based. It is well suited for small jobs.

oDesk: This is one of the outsourcing sites whose pay is based on the specified time that has been spent on your work. It has got a feature that allows you to have a glimpse of the activity levels of each member of your team among other features. The payment is based on the hours worked on or the jobs competed.oDesk gets 10% of the payment the employer makes which ultimately equates to about 11.11% when the contractors money is added. This site is great for those who have got tasks they would like to pay by hours spent.

The above sites are based on project bidding module where service providers are required to bid for projects. The employer gets to choose the winner and awards the project. There are other well known freelance sites including Iwriter, Fiverr who, as opposed to the above site are based on employers offering service providers jobs without having to bid. Service providers earn rates which are dependant on their ratings on the resprctive sites. An proficiency test is undertaken and only when a service provider passes the test can he/she be allowed to apply for jobs.
