Why Can't I Pee In The Shower?
'Cos it's disgusting of course!
It should go without saying that urinating in the shower, either at home or in public showers is not cool. In fact putting anything down a drain other than water is a really bad idea. Hair and paper or any other junk that gets dropped down there can have a catastrophic impact on the plumbing in your house as it causes blockages and can land you with a huge plumbing bill in the end.

In fact come to think of it, in comparison to more solid items, pee is probably not that bad. Still gross though!

Twisted System

Your shower is part of your wider plumbing system in the home that weaves its way through your home from all your plug holes or toilets and comes out either in the sewer system or into a septic tankā¦or if you live in some areas of the world, the local river. Putting any undue stress on this system can have a dramatic impact on your home. For one if you have a septic tank and it gets blocked up then you can end up having a really smelly back garden, or worse, an overflowing septic tank that floods your garden with all manner of unspeakable horror.

Environment

Using less solid stuff too is better for the environment. Toilet paper, even if it is recycled is still paper at the end of the day and still comes from trees that are cut down in a big forest somewhere.

You have two options then; first option is to use less paper. You could just be a bit more slapdash with your approach to cleaning or you could do the smart thing: fold don't bunch. It has been scientifically proven that folding your toilet paper before you use it as opposed to just making a crumpled ball will save several sheets every time.

Second option is to get a bidet. What is it you may ask? Well it is like a second toilet that sits next your pan in the bathroom. When you're done on the real toilet you hop across and sit on the bidet and press the button/lever/turn the tap whatever, and water shoots upwards, cleaning you in the most environmentally friendly way possible. They aren't really in fashion just now (except in France) because they can take a bit of getting used to, plus they add an extra cost when fitting your bathroom and take up valuable space.

Many bathrooms UK outlets provide an increasing range of Bidets and other modern bathroom amenities such as digital showers.

So let's compromise: you can pee in the shower as long as you think about saving the environment while you're doing it.
