If you have a lot of devices and need to link to a router, you need to find one that works for you. You may have numerous computers, printers, along with other things that must be hooked up. The Netgear N750 (WNDR4000) had good feedback, but for the little bit extra to pay, you could get their top model, the Netgear N900 (WNDR4500). It takes only approximately 5 minutes to get your home network set up with this particular router.

You just need to link the cable and the power then connect the computer straight to the Netgear router to start the setup. There isn't any CD-ROM to do a set up, instead you connect to a webpage via your web browser. You only need to key in routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1 in the address field of the web browser and when you press enter, it takes you to the Netgear Genie program. You will need to set up the basics of your network and you can change the advanced features as well. You can link printers and hard disk drives to your network because of the two USB ports, and it has DLNA functionality. The Genie has an extremely simple and straight forward menu that will notify you of any status changes. You will be able to see if the router is connected to the internet and if all the devices are connected to the router.

Unlike other routers, the Netgear is a bit big but it features a clear base so you can stand it erect. The router and base setup is quite stable that it's not going to tip over with many Ethernet cables connected though the sleek finish will leave finger prints. The router is very expensive, but worth the cost if you can afford it, since you are getting what you pay for. This router is good if you do a great deal of streaming of HD shows and movies over your network or you do a lot of network gaming. It sends out quite a powerful signal so you should be able to connect easily in virtually every place in your home. One consumer was able to have several laptops, two PS3s, tablets, kindles and a printer all linked to the network with no slow down or hitch. Considering the variety of devices, he was still able to download large files, ebooks and software while enjoying streamed video without any stutter or dropped connections. He was happy with his routers, regardless of others having several issues.

There is another similar customer review where the customer stated the router is his new favorite. The router had no dropped connections or random restarts although he had 11 different devices linked over WiFi. With regular firmware updates, he expects the router to get a lot better.
