HOW TO FIND GREAT DEALS ON EBAY pt1

by Randy Oles

You can get nearly anything on eBay, from a palace in South America to a set of novelty fake teeth. If you're lucky, you can even find some great deals on ebay, one thing you should try is to become a sniper. A sniper looks for bargains and then barges into an ebay auction at the last minute and makes a higher bid. Here's how to do it. Let's say you decide you can't live without the classic Peter Frampton album "Frampton Comes Alive." With eBay's auctions, you can bid on the CD as often as you like during a specific auction time of three to 10 days, usually 7. If you are the highest bidder at the end of that time, the CD is yours.

Now imagine two days are left until the auction end time. If you bid now, everyone else online could out-bid you and drive up the price. But if you wait until the last minute, you might get that album for a steal. It may not seem fair, but everyone else is doing it, so let's get started. Here are four steps to successful sniping.

1. Decide how much the Peter Frampton album is worth. Slipping in at the last minute and bidding $50, is no way to get great deals on ebay. So you should do a little searching around the web to see what that album is really worth. I recommend Googles Shopping search.

2. Monitor the album, or any other item, so you know exactly when the auction is going to end. I recommend using my find great deals on ebay website of course :), to find ebay deals and monitor their auctions.

3. Now, here's the hard part. You need to make your maximum bid in the last five seconds of the auction. How's that possible? Read on grasshopper.

4. Use an automatic sniping service like AuctionSniper.com or PowerSnipe.com that will automatically snipe auctions of your choice at the last possible moment. With automatic sniping services you don't have to sit by your computer and watch the bidding until the auction closes. You simply tell them what your maximum bid is (less than what you found instep 1 I hope), their servers will handle everything automatically, waiting until the last few seconds to place your bid for you.
