Where Is The Best Place To Get Your PC Fixed?

You need a PC Doctor…

PCs and laptops are now as common a sight in every home as a television or telephone. We use them for everything from ordering groceries to booking flights and watching…er…videos. We absolutely love our computers and will shower them with attention and new software and fancy keyboards and mice all day long, making them a focal part of our lives. This means however, that when they go wrong we panic.

Such is the nature of computer technology that it is pretty hard for an amateur to look under the casing and spot a loose wire or a worn out part. Even if there is a big black smoking graphics card, knowing what to do about it and where to go to do it is beyond most normal people.

So where can you go to fix your PC?

Computer Shop

Obviously the best place to go is to your local computer shop. These are normally staffed by super geeks who can smell the fault before you enter the shop. The will take your PC for a charge, fix the problem and even do upgrades if you wish. This is possibly the more expensive option but it will get it sorted relatively quickly, even if it's a laptop.

Mobile PC Doctor

If you live outside of any town, you may be able to call on the services of a mobile PC repair team. This might involve either someone coming out to your house and working on your problem on the spot or, particularly if it's a laptop, they can take it away and work on it before coming back to drop it off and talk you through any changes they have made.

DIY

Thanks to the internet and in particular YouTube, there are now hundreds and thousands of videos available that have been made to help people just like you to go step by step through the problem with your computer until it is resolved. It is best if you only attempt this if you are fairly confident with computers or you may end up making a problem worse by making a mistake.

Virtual Desktop

Finally, if the problem is more with your software and not the hardware…perhaps you have a virus, you may want to consider inviting someone to take control of your computer remotely so that they can do work on your system without you or them having to go anywhere. Many problems can be solved with a few system alterations.
