Hot New Cars for 2012: Buy or Lease New Cars
We love cars. They are how we get to work, how we visit the parents, how we take the kids to Disney World. This country is where cars began, and where cars will continue. Read on to learn about the coolest cars slated to come out this year.
The new Civic will make you want to buy new Honda if you don't already. With hybrid, sedan and coupe bodies and a lot of other options, as well as a trimmed body weight, this Honda will have better handling than its predecessors. And with the same modest pricing that Honda always offers, this car is a great value.
The Scion IQ will debut this summer. It's 3+1 seating means that the passenger side rear and front seats are for adults, and the one behind the driver is only for kids or a car seat. Since the car is only about 6 1/2 feet long, you will be able to park it anywhere, and with 90 hp and a $16,000 price tag, it's the ideal urban getaway vehicle.
Hyundai has remade its image from a cheap unreliable brand into a hip alternative to buy new Toyota. Their new Veloster is part of the reason why. With up to 40mpg without hybrid technology, this cruiser sports a very low curb weight thanks to the fact that it lacks a rear door on the driver's side. With Hyundai's first dual-clutch six speed manual, this car sounds like a lot of fun. If you want American muscle that brings back the good ole days, wait for the 2012 Camaro. This bad boy will have Cadillac's CTS-V 6.2 liter V8 and 550hp. Sure, it'll be more expensive, but it puts American muscle into the echelon of BMW's M3 and the Porsche 911.
This year when Toyota debuted a Prius C concept it made our mouths water. While it is a concept, they will keep the promise that when you buy new Toyota Prius you get the highest mileage of any non-plug-in hybrid. Small, sporty and with futuristic styling, this hatchback will likely be on the road by mid next year.
These five cars are ones to look out for over the course of the next year, especially if you plan on buying soon. New advanced technology means better fuel consumption, more power and better handling - overall better value and cars that are more fun to drive. What's not to love?
