The following are just some basic cross marketing tips .• Include your URL on your business cards • Include you URL on your letterhead• Offer some stickers be it car stickers or fridge magnets with your URL• Include your URL in your voicemail message• Include it on all the packaging you use• Put it on all envelops you use• Include it in you adverts as well as business directories• Staff uniforms .(Basically have your URL on everything you give outwell with in reason)In offline advertising giving something for free like key holders, umbrellas with you logo and URL usually goes down well .But care should be taken in choosing which product to brand cause I have seen with T-shirts quite a lot of them are never worn hence the desired effect of advertising not archieved .Other offline forms of markerting can prove to be very fruitfull .Ideas include:•Advertising in local paper,magazines•Radio•Supporting a charity•Free gifts •Word of mouth is surprisingly powerful so take care of the clients you already have they will recommend you .The list goes on .You should always aim to measure the success of any compaign you do hence can measure success rate.Online one needs a good search engine ranking .how that is that archieved ?Well there is no one word answer to that question but it’s a combination of things .There is no substitute for content .You should always have good quality and easy to utilise content .You should have content that is relevant to your visitors. Most new webmasters in the quest for higher search engine rankings tend to forget the most important person to a website – its visitors. Always keep them in mind and design a site which is clear and easy to navigate. Keep your content and upto date gives them a reason to come back.Make sure you use good code i.e. HTML or what ever code you use make sure its correct .Make sure you have no errors as a mark up error on you description meta tags would make the search engine ignore it hence adversely affect your rankings .Always aim to validate your code .Also add a site map that helps search engines crawl all your pages easily and that helps .Good inbound links are helpful but it is always advisable to link with site which have content relevant to yours. Link exchange is good but always try to get some one way links to you .These are very helpful . Do not employ dirty tactics to fool search engines. It has short term benefits but when you are discovered it will seriously affect your rankings .Do not spam search engines as well .Submit your site to directories manually – do it yourself and choose the correct category as well as the appropriate description , most usually give you just one chance make the most of it .Make sure you use keywords that are relevant to your content and on choosing keywords first of all check which ones are searched for the most . Take your time to come up with a very accurate description of your site .
