Getting The Most Out of Your Business Cards

One of the most traditional ways to share your contact information with your ever-growing network is with business cards. There are a few tips you may want to consider when you are making your cards.
Firstly, be sure to have an abundance of business cards with you at all times. They can be inexpensive to produce and are a great tool to use when meeting people. If you search around for prices, you will find that prices can be competitive and it really will not cost you a lot of money to have enough printed to ensure you will not run out in the near future.
Secondly, when you are having your business cards made, make sure to have your photograph printed on them. Business cards are constantly changing hands throughout the day. You may even find that you have a stack of business cards from people you cannot remember - particularly when you have attended a large event and have met a great deal of people. If you have your photograph printed on your card, people will be able to remember who you are. For example, if you are attending a real estate convention and receive 30+ cards of people with similar business interests, you are more likely to recollect the people you met when you see their photo on their card.
Third, give your business card to EVERYONE. Of course, many people will throw away your business card, but many people will hold onto it. The more people you give your card to, the better chance you have of someone you've met contacting you. You never know what someone will do with your business card, so take the chance and always remember to give them away to everyone you come across. Always give your cards at real estate events. You will come across many people in the industry who could use your information and vice-versa.
Lastly, use both sides of your business card. You can use the back of your card to advertise additional information such as free giveaways or additional companies you may be operating. Utilize all the space on your business card!
A simple item like a business card can be an effective tool to market yourself and to put yourself in front of potential clients/buyers. Make the most of your business cards, don't be shy giving them out and always have plenty on hand.
