Jumpstart Your Affiliate Sales with this Helpful Technique
Hopefully by now you have selected a product or service to sell through your affiliate account that you truly believe in. The first step in any sales career or endeavor is to sell the product or service of choice like your life depended on it and if you chose something that you really don't believe is any good then the technique I am about to share with you won't matter.
Good. You chose something that you enjoy selling and that's a good thing because you will be much more successful selling what you like as opposed to what you don't like.
This technique has been around for quite sometime and with the Internet getting the reach it does in such a short period of time, you are able to use this technique to maximize your sales efforts.
The technique is called article marketing. This is the process of where you write an article at least 450 words in length and submit them to various article directories. As you will soon see this method gives you two possibilities to expand your efforts.
Start by writing an article on a topic that surrounds the product or service that you sell. For instance, if you are selling a vegetable gardening related product you can write about growing tips, the soil's pH level, how to space plants and so on. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
Once you have your topic, then write an informative and helpful article no less than 450 words in length. These types of articles do the best in promoting your product or service because it makes you look like an expert in what you sell and you are helping out the reader with that information.
Now that you have your topic and the article is written, you need to put at the bottom of the article what is called a resource box. This box gives a little information about you and a link to the product or service that you are selling. For instance a sample resource box for someone selling vegetable seeds could look like this, "About the Author: John Jones is an avid vegetable gardener and sells a variety of gardening products that can be found at insert your affiliate link here." As you can see, it is simple, straight to the point and your affiliate link is included. If you write a good article that helps the reader out, they will click your link.
I mentioned earlier that this technique offers two ways to really kick start your affiliate sales. The first way we just covered. Write an article, submit it to article directories and watch as the visitors to those article directories click the link in your resource box.
The second way requires no additional work on your part. You see, article directories also give their visitors the ability to grab your article and reprint it for their own use with your resource box in tact. This means that if anyone uses your article on their website or blog, your resource box will be shown as well, increasing your affiliate links exposure.
