Rahul Gandhi: I am proud that medicines are being given for free
Bikaner, Madhya Pradesh: Congress vice president Sh. Rahul Gandhi addressed a huge Congress rally in poll bound in Madhya Pradesh while addressing the masses he marked out that poor is not reason of poverty but bad health of poor is the main cause of poverty here in India. He also remarked that while providing grain at 1 rupee per KG to masses BJP said that it will make poor lazy.“BJP’s people often meet me in Parliament, and they talk against MNREGA, Food Security Bill; and do you know why BJP is against this? They do not agree to the proposal to give anything free to the poor. Gains are provided only in 1 rupee per KG. They told me that free food and free employment will make the poor lazy. We think differently.” Rahul Gandhi also pointed out that there is a wall of poverty ahead of poor which should be broken by helping out the poor. “They said this because they don’t understand the poverty and main reason of poverty is poor. We think differently and we know a poor person is not the reason of poverty. There is a wall ahead of poor person and we need to break that and to remove this wall, we must help him. But this marketing minded BJP wants the poor to break the wall himself. But we want to help the poor to break the wall.” He added. He also praised the Gehlot government for providing medicines without any cost, so that a poor can live a healthy life. “And it’s government’s job to hold the hand of that poor person and break the wall, that’s why we give MNREGA, that’s why we give RTI ,that is why we empowering the women and that’s why Mr. Gehlot have distribute these medicines to you.” He noted in the rally. “I am glad and proud that these medicines are not being given to citizens of India and Rajasthan but also to the domestic animals of India.” He said before concluding the rally, he also urged people should vote in favor of Congress to change the current scenario of Chhattisgarh.
