For any type of Home Business, there are certain things that needs to be in place in your home office.

A computer. It is best that you have a computer dedicated to your Home Business. An accidental deletion of files by the kids could be devastating to your business. The office should be clean and well lit The office should block away all forms of distractions. A door is a must. The office should have a comfortable chair, a desk and a lamp There must be a place to store documents about your customer An organizer to keep track of your schedules A white board to write down your targets and goals both long term, short term (for the week, for the day). There are some folks I know who dresses in their formal business wear though they are working in their home office - the reason being to psyche themselves to work as though they are in a real office environment. Maybe you should try this out and see how it works for you.
