How to Create a Personalised Temporary Tattoo
Easy to follow step-by-step instructions
Ever wanted to show the one you love just how much, by getting a tattoo in their name...but not sure about getting a permanent one? Or found the design you want etched into your skin, but not 100% sure it's the right design for you?...Well why not test-drive your new tattoo, with a temporary one? Here's how to create a personalised temporary tattoo, easily and simply from home...
WHAT YOU NEED:
1. Any graphics software program to create your design.
2. Temporary tattoo paper & peel-back adhesive sheet.
HERE'S HOW TO DO IT:
1. Create the design you want as a temporary tattoo using any computer graphics program.
See ‘Resources’ list below for a list of free graphics programs available for download on the Internet.
There are tons of free graphics programs available, these are just a few suggestions.
Also, depending on what you want as a design – image or just a word/phrase – you may be able to get away with just using Microsoft Word or another text program.
2. Next, print your design on the glossy side of the tattoo paper sheet.
IMPORTANT: You should feed your printer one sheet at a time to avoid jamming the printer since tattoo paper is thicker than regular paper.
3. Wait until ink is fully dry (about 2-3 minutes) before you touch the temporary tattoo paper sheet.
4. Take the adhesive sheet and peel off the paper backing.
Peel back one corner of the sheet, in order to expose the adhesive and then separate the two sheets. The adhesive sheet will be stick to your fingers. This is the one we want to use.
5. Apply the adhesive sticker to the printed side of the tattoo sheet.
Be sure to remove all air bubbles.
6. Use your scissors to cut around each tattoo design, keeping as close as possible to the tattoo.
7. When choosing a place to apply your skin tattoo, you should try to choose one that is free of body hair.
8. Wash the chosen skin area and dry thoroughly. Skin should be dry when the temporary tattoo is applied.
9. Make sure your hands are dry. Next, remove the adhesive backing from the tattoo paper.
10. Apply the tattoo to your skin and press firmly for 20 seconds.
11. Apply a wet sponge to the tattoo for 60 seconds. When the paper is thoroughly wet (you will be able to see the tattoo image through the tattoo paper), remove the paper to reveal the temporary tattoo.
Voila! You now have your own home-made personalised temporary tattoo. Enjoy!

They have tons of different fonts to choose from and you can make it as big or as small as you like. We recommend making it bigger to start with, just so that the resolution is high enough, and then you can always make it smaller later.
