How To Build A Website Using Templates

by Daniel Harbeck

One of the easiest things in all the world is to learn how to build a website. Through the use of templates, it takes out all the need for complicated HTML coding. Anyone can build a website, even if they've never done it before. The only thing that is needed is a good quality template, which can be provided by a hosting company.

Most hosting companies offer an entire web design tool to customers as a way of enticing customers to sign a contract. Hiring a web designer is expensive and few startup businesses have that kind of money. As a result, more people are apt to choose a hosting company if it means being able to create a website on one's own instead of hiring a professional.

When the web design tool is open, a full list of templates will be made available. These templates are often categorized by industry. This way a personal trainer would have a very different looking list of templates than a florist or photographer. The templates will typically contain graphics and layouts all in one.

Anyone who is wishing to know how to build a website without spending a lot of time in the design aspect will love to use templates. Once a template is chosen, it will create the entire mainframe of the website. The background will be in place, a header will be selected and the tabs will appear on the website.

The personalization can then begin. A person will be able to choose how many pages the website should contain and all the pages will be named. The names of the pages will then appear as tabs across the top or side of the website. The order in which they are listed can be altered based on preference as well.

Logos can be added to the header area. Any logo can be uploaded and then, depending on the template, dropped into place. In some cases, it can be dragged to a different area of the header if a person has a specific place where they wanted to see the logo.

The text can then be added to each of the pages. It is best to type the page content in Microsoft Word or another text editor on the computer. This way the spelling and grammar can be verified before publishing the content. The text can then be pasted into the web design tool. The text can then be altered to fit the space, changing the size, color, alignment, font and much more.

Images and videos can also be added into the template. This is another way of personalizing the site and making it easier for site visitors to learn more about the business. Images can give product details more dimension while videos can tell about the company or even offer how-to style information to customers.

Building a website can be difficult, however templates are designed to simplify the process. When deciding who to host a website with, finding out the variety of templates a company offers can make a dramatic difference on what a website will look like in the end. Every website should look different from that of the competition, which means the bigger the variety of templates, the better.
