Justin Bieber And Other Stars Nominated For Bowling Honors

Teen Hearthrob Justin Bieber has been nominated for bowling honors by Bowling Proprietors Association of America.BPAA announced nominations for a 2011 International Bowling Hall Of Fame nod - and some of the names tossed into the hat are amongst the most popular figures around. The list of bowlers to be inducted into the hall span are the Young Money honcho Lil Wayne, NBA living legend Michael Jordan, curvy beauty Kim Kardashian , global superstar Lady Gaga, actor Jeff Bridges and singer/actress Miley Cyrus.

International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Chairman Keith Hamilton said that "Each of these 2011 candidates has had a significant impact in helping to keep bowling as one of the nation's most treasured pastimes" in a written statement. Mr. Hamilton also went on to say that last year's top nod battle between Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber was a "showdown" and a hopeful precursor to this year's star-heavy contest for "bowling immortality".Of the stars listed, Lil Wayne seems to be the most experienced as Wheezy joined up with PBA pro bowler Norm Duke and New Orleans Hornets basketball star Chris Paul at the NBA player's annual celebrity bowling tourney. Although Wayne made it into the final rounds, he was vanquished by his good friend Chris Paul and Australian pro bowler Jason Belmonte.

Lately, Justin Bieber announced the launch of a new campaign which will promote responsible text messaging through a new phone application, which disables texting, emailing, and keyboard functions if you're driving faster than 10 miles per hour. "Every night we perform, we have a banner that goes up that says 'Don't Text and Drive' so it really means a lot to me," he said.

In his campaign, Justin will be working to promote the efforts of Wellman, Texas' Brown family, who have been raising awareness about the dangers of the practice since their teen daughter Alex Brown had died tragically because she was texting while driving. The family of teen has started an Organization called as Remember Alex Brown Foundation.

About the campaign the pintsized singer has said that "As a 17-year-old driver, I am aware of the countless distractions that we teenagers face on the road, and texting is one that is preventable.There are too many young people, like Alex Brown, whom we've lost because of texting while driving, and it is my hope that, through this partnership with Phone Guard, we will raise awareness of this issue and create safer conditions for everyone on the road."Well we hope that the campaign started by Biebs will be a big hit and it encourages people of all ages to text responsibly
