10 Ways To Give Your Car A Good Send Off

Love your car…

by Sam Qam

Like a friendly dog, your car can over time become a close member of your family, and like dogs, sometimes they need to be put to sleep. But before this happens, you will want to commemorate your time together with some kind of proper send-off; like a leaving party. Here are some suggestions:

Road Trip

A most sensible and sentimental option would be to take it for a drive around all the places where you have shared good times together. This is only a good idea if it is still in working order though.

Car Party

If you want to douse it in booze then see how many people you can get inside, crank up the stereo and have a full party. You could end by burning the car using all the leftover alcohol.

Pimp You Ride

If you can get hold of the programme, why not get the car modification show to turn it from a broken down vehicle into a big shiny road peacock.

Convert It

If you have the engineering skills, or you know someone who does, why not take it to bits and use convert what you can into something else. How about a wallet made of the tyres; a sofa made of the seats, a table made of the engine block.

Give It Away

If you know someone like a mechanic who likes to tinker, or a charity who works with disabled people doing practical skills, then why not hand over your car to let someone else benefit from it.

Stock Car

If you have a spare roll cage and a helmet, take your car down to a local stock racing track and bash its doors in in a race. Lots of fun and they'll probably dispose of it for you afterwards.

Off A Cliff

You know those films where cars get driven off cliffs? Recreate it discreetly to see your car fly. Try not to break any laws though.

Garden

A creative option would be to stick it in your garden, fill it with earth and turn it into a big herb garden or like a greenhouse with tomatoes.

Crush Party

Slip the scrap yard some cash and invite all your friends for a party in the yard as you watch your beloved car get crushed into a small square.

Trash It

If you feel a bit angry that you have to say goodbye to your car and that you won't get any money for it; take a baseball bat and take out your frustration in a way that you aren't normally allowed to with cars.

How would you say goodbye?
