Opportunities For All Types Of Homebuyers At Bett Homes' New Homes Scheme In Wishaw

by Keith Osborne

Award-winning housebuilder Bett Homes has unveiled a new phase of properties priced from £125,000 at Auchterwynd, its development of new homes in Scotland at Wishaw, outside Glasgow. The new release of two-bedroom terrace homes marks the first occasion that buyers have been able to find a property at this price point on this popular development.

Furthermore, all the homes on the new phase are available with Bett Homes' shared equity scheme (which is offered in conjunction with Glasgow Credit Union), which means an up-front price of £100,000, the balance being granted in the form of an equity loan to the homebuyer from the housebuilder for up to ten years, or until the house is sold, whichever is sooner.

"This is the first time that smaller starter homes have been available on this development so we are expecting interest levels to be high now that the new phase has gone on sale," says Margaret Davidson, Sales Manager for Bett Homes. "Our shared equity option means that there has never been a better time to get a foot on the property ladder."

The new two-bedroom homes complement the existing collection of three- and four-bedroom detached and link detached properties available from £162,995 to £195,995, which have proved popular already with family buyers looking to combine a pleasant rural home life with convenience for local amenities and the city. These new homes in Glasgow's commuter belt, just 15 miles from the city centre, provide access on the doorstep to the North Lanarkshire countryside and the Clyde Valley, while the town of Motherwell is just three miles away.

Wishaw has good road connections, including the M74 and M8 motorways within a few miles, and its own commuter rail service into Glasgow. Locally there is a good choice of schooling, plenty of leisure options and a wealth of history and places of interest.

House hunters with an existing home are also catered for at the site, with Bett Homes offering a part exchange deal. The company gets an independent valuation of the customer's home, agrees a price with them and takes care of the rest. The customer doesn't have to worry about finding a buyer on the open market, or have to deal with (or pay!) an estate agent.

The Auchterwynd development is open Thursday to Monday, from 11am to 5pm, giving prospective buyers a chance to see the site and the area for themselves, and to discuss the house types and buying options available now.
