Boat Racing Games
Whether they are car racing games, motorcycle racing games, truck racing games or horse racing games, as long as they are downloadable racing games the players are happy. It would appear that the most popular ones are still those with the action that takes place on dry land. Well, that may no longer be the case, as boat racing games are making their way on the market and gaining an increasing fan base day by day. The advantage of boat racing games among other downloadable racing games is that because the action takes place on water the sounds are different, the curves are different and the challenges are different keeping the players used to the sound of screeching brakes interested.
The goal of boat racing games is the same as it is with motorcycle racing games or truck racing games: to be the first player who reaches the finish line and win the race. But the challenges are different in these boat racing games: there are no bad guys or cops trying to shoot you, instead there is the unpredictable wind that you need to fight to gain control of your boat. In some downloadable racing games there are marks that must not be hit in order to win the race. Also, in most boat racing games hitting the beach gets you disqualified from the race. While it is true that no dry land means no spectacular car crashes it may become obvious that race boats are a little trickier to control in comparison to your average race car.
Need for Waves, the marine version of the legendary Need for Speed, takes the player through a series of against the clock races, each more dangerous and each filled with more obstacles than the previous one. In boat racing games like “Trimming a Boat” you can intervene on the engine and change the way the boat moves across the water to achieve the highest possible speed. Other downloadable racing games like “Fast Boats” put you in control of super high-speed cutters in waters filled with obstacles. It’s up to you to race to the finish line and win without crashing into another boat.
Boat racing games may not always take you to the same extremely high speed that a car race may reach, but the atmosphere of a boat race is just as intense and the danger just as extreme.
