This type has high levels of various kinds of essential amino acids that are naturally produced by the body.

There is also milk protein or casein protein, which is considered rich in the amino acid glutamine that helps the body recover fast and can be absorbed over a longer period of time. Soy protein is another type of protein that has all the necessary amino acids and is a good option for vegetarians. Other types include egg white protein which is a dairy-free, and hemp seed that has highly digestible protein and has high essential fatty acid content.

Creatine is an organic acid produced in the body that helps supply energy to the muscle required for short bursts of activity like weight lifting. This component allows bodybuilders to train harder. There have been studies that support the claim that this component can boost muscle mass, energy, and strength, and it can also reduce the body's recovery period. You can also find naturally occurring creatine in red meat, various other types of offal, and kidney meat.

Several bodybuilding supplements also contain glutamine, which is a type of amino acid commonly found in the human muscle. Anaerobic exercises can sometimes reduce the body's natural glutamine levels, which could lead to a weaker immune system and muscle tissue wastage.
