Patient History/Treatment: 11 years old boy (4’10”, 83 lbs) has had asthma since he was 6 months old. Episodes are often brought on by allergic reaction to dogs, cats, or pollen. Asthma Treatment Using Alternative Medicine

Asthma is a condition where patients’ bronchi are inflamed and the airway is narrowed. The inflamed bronchi are easily irritated by environmental stimuli which trigger the contraction of muscles around the airway and further tighten the airway, causing breathing difficulty or asthma attack. It is believed that the cause of bronchi inflammation in asthma patients is a lack of tissue maturity, since as patients get older, their asthma symptoms usually become less severe.
