by kerthbilly

Clogged drain problems are very common and irritating problems. As today’s world is busy in rushing out to their offices, schools, colleges these clogged drain problems trouble them a lot. These clogged drain problems may be due to wastes that get clogged inside the drains and the water pumps out and smells a lot. Generally these clogged problems can arise in bathroom sinks as they get clogged by the hair, kitchen sinks get clogged by the grease. Other than calling a plumber you have different methods that you can try it by your own.

Plumbing Method

This is one of the easiest ways to unclog your toilet. Using a plumber you can unclog your toilet. 1.Firstly you have to consider is turn off the water supply to the toilet.

2.You have to make sure there is enough water in the toilet for covering the head of the plunger otherwise it won’t work properly.

3.If you feel that there is no enough water then pour the sufficient water with a bucket.

4.Remember one thing; don’t flush the toilet as it might overflow.

5.Just in case put something around the toilet on the ground such as newspaper.

6.Now start plunging. Don’t apply much force just a little effort is sufficient.

7.Put some muscle into it and plunge repeatedly for at least a few minutes continuously.

8.Observe keenly whether the water drains or not, then turn the water back on and give it a flush.

Snake method:

If the above method is failed you can use snake method to unclog the toilet. This auger-type device rotates to eat into the clog and helps to free it. You can also try a coat hanger and reach the clog. Now let’s have a look how can we apply this method.

1.Firstly push the end of the snake into the drain opening and turn the handle on the drum that contains the coiled-up snake. The auger begins its journey down the drain.

2.Put more efforts, pushing more of the snake into the drain until you feel resistance. You may have to apply pressure when cranking the handle to get it to bend around the tight curve in the trap under the sink.

3.After turning the curve, the snake usually slides through easily until you hit the clog.

4.Rotate the snake against the blockage until you feel it feed freely into the pipe. The rotating action enables the tip of the snake to attach to the clog and spin it away or chop it up.

5.If you observe that a clog is a solid object, the auger head entangles the object. If you don't feel the auger breaking through and twisting getting easier, pull the auger out of the drain, you'll likely pull the clog out with it. 6. Finally run water with full force for a few minutes to be sure that the drain is unclogged. Sometimes, the clog flushes down the drain or the clog comes out attached to the snake. Chemical method: This may be your last method. Chemicals works rapidly on pipes, this is the common and traditional method used in our home.

1.Make sure the product you purchased is of good quality.

2.Thoroughly follow the instructions on the bottle.

3.Don’t directly touch the chemical with the hand and you should have a lot of ventilation in the room. So be sure that the chemical after applied should be left for at least 10-15 min and then washed.

The above three methods can be used to unclog your drain and if you don’t have enough time and feeling impatient then it’s better to have a best plumber to your home.
