The puzzle was invented by Noyes Palmer Chapman, a postmaster in Canastota, New York. It consists of a frame of numbered square tiles in random order with one tile missing. The goal is to arrange the tiles in the proper order, by making sliding moves that use the empty space. There’s a menu option that lets you choose between swipe/tap to move the tiles. To make a move, simply tap on a tile adjacent to the space, and it will slide into position. You can also slide the tile into place manually. The game keeps track of the no of moves you have made as well as the time.

Fifteen puzzle X features different game modes and styles. It features 3 different puzzle themes: Wood, Marble and Plastic, and 3 grid sizes: 4X4, 5X5, and 6X6. There are 4 different types of puzzle types to choose from: Numbers, Letters, Roman Numerals, and Images. Once you have mastered the 4X4 puzzle grid then you can move on to the 5X5, and 6X6 puzzle which are much more complex and harder to complete. The image puzzle is probably the type that is familiar to most people and also the most interesting. Select any of the images available on your phone to use in the puzzle.

Fifteen Puzzle X has simple but attractive graphics, and a friendly user-interface. The sliding motion of the tiles is smooth and natural. You can move multiple tiles at the same time. Try to complete the puzzle in the shortest time possible with the minimum number of moves. Click on the icons at the top to mute the sound or to access the menu options. Click on the “Leaderboard” to check out the top scores, locally and around the globe.
