Prayer (The Power There Of)

There are many ways to do things on a spiritual dimension. One of the key ways is prayer. Many people simply define prayer as communication with God. This is not incorrect but incomplete.

Prayer is so much more.The place of prayer is a place of humility, reverence and coincidentally it's also a place of divine advantage. Whatever we face or wrestle with on the earth realm is usually coming from another dimension, the spiritual dimension to be exact. The bible in the book of Ephesians, Chapter 6, makes it clear that we don't wrestle with flesh and blood. This means the way we wrestle and deal with 'stuff' is to go up to the place of prayer and deal with the matter in the realm of the spirit.

All activities of the kingdom must be undergirded by prayer. Prayer must be a key pillar of any church that is going to survive in the 21st Century.With more than 4 ½ years experience as Head of Intercession at my local church in Melbourne, Australia, I have to say people must understand the rules of engagement when it comes to spiritual things and to pray effectively.The bible shows us the rules and how to engage ourselves when it comes to the things of the spirit and spiritual warfare.

Two of the key prayer modes that most Christians are missing out on are Kingly and Prophetic Intercession when it comes to prayer. Prophetic intercession, allows us to get into the mind of God, what was the original plan of God regarding a matter and most importantly what is God saying today. When we get that, we can then pray knowing what God wants to happen on the earth realm, today and now regarding the matter.Whilst it's a sad reality that in some circles the prophetic ministry has been perverted. It has lost its essence in a lot of places.

However, the main thing is that we need the Prophetic anointing like never before. The world is getting more complex and people are dealing with more complex issues and we need the Prophetic anointing like never before to unlock mysteries and secrets going on behind the scenes. It is through a word of knowledge, a word of wisdom and targetted prayer that many people's lives can be changed. Praying is no longer about praying haphazardly, its now about being specific and on target. The prophetic anointing not only unleashes the source or root of the problem but it does reveal solutions and at times practical steps that if followed lead to breakthrough.

So there is an urgency of prayer, prayer for ourselves, families, friends, our nations and leaders. You have an Uncommon Destiny and this is your time to pray and bring down Heaven's agenda for your life.
