Clearing Cache

Cleaning your storage cache is a good starting point when your website is not displaying a change you just made you can use the built in interface or you can use web tools that are available on the internet. By clearing the storage cache, you make sure that your web browser is going back to the web hosting server to ask for the site, rather than just providing you what it has cached.

Keep in mind that clearing your web browser storage cache is only one position your websites may be cached. The web hosting server may be caching webpages and your whole site might be using a caching system like Akamai. But if you know that you submitted your web page to the appropriate location and it’s not displaying up in your web browser, clearing your storage cache can help.

To clear Internet Explorer Cache (Windows)

Click the “Tools” menu bar. Choose “Internet Options.” On the “General” tab, click “Clear History.” When it asks “Delete all items in your History folder?” and click “OK.” Click “OK” again.

To clear cache For Chrome (Windows and Macintosh)

Open Chrome. Click on the Chrome menu (looks like three horizontal lines). Select “Tools.” Click on “Clear browsing data.” Change the dropdown menu to “the beginning of time” or another time frame you want to remove. Make sure that “Empty the cache” has a check next to it. Click “Clear browsing data.”

Tips:

You can eliminate surfing information from the start (in other terms, ever since you began using Chrome), the last four several weeks, previous week, previous day, or previous hour. This is useful if you just want to get rid of information from a site you went to lately. You can also choose to obvious history, downloads, cookies, passwords, autofill data etc. When you publish a change to a web page and they do not display in your web browser, first try cleaning the storage cache to make it appear properly.

To clear cache For NetScape

Open Netscape. Click the “Edit” menu bar. Choose “Preferences.” Click on the plus sign (+) by “Advanced” and choose “Cache.” Click “Clear Memory Cache” and then click “OK.” Click “Clear Disk Cache” and then click “OK.” “OK.”

Tips:

When you publish a change to a web page and they do not display in your web browser, first try cleaning the storage cache to make it appear properly. Netscape has two different caches, and it is important to obvious both. The storage cache is less permanent than the drive storage cache.
