How Do I Stop My Partner From Growing Cannabis?
It's not as easy as stealing their lighter...
When someone starts smoking cannabis, their lives can change in a number of ways. For some they will try it once, probably throw up and never touch the stuff again. Other people will have a better reaction and perhaps partake on occasion with friends and enjoy it in moderation. While for some, smoking weed can become an obsession which consumes their lives and puts them at risk of depression and schizophrenia. Of course when someone you love begins to take their interest in cannabis to extremes, you have a right to be concerned. Here are a few ways you can stop them:

Distraction

One key thing you have to do to break the habit of smoking cannabis is to try to get them to do other things instead. People enjoy smoking cannabis because it helps them switch their brain off. If you can find something which will start to take its place at the moments in the day when they seem to be heading for their Dutch Passion, then you will be able to break the pattern of abuse which smoking marijuana regularly can becomes. Maybe take them out for a walk when they get home from work, or get them in the shower after a night out...basically anything to stop them reaching for their weed.

Stop Them Growing It

A very important thing you need to do, is to stop your partner from either growing or selling cannabis. It is legal to buy cannabis seeds online, as is it legal to sell people the growing materials and books on cannabis horticulture so there is nothing stopping them from getting started. Once they have their marijuana seeds growing in the garden shed, it is only a few short steps towards dealing and a build up towards a reliance of having cannabis constantly on hand as a source of income. Never forget that it is illegal and they can get in trouble for just having some. If you love your partner you will do everything they can to stop them from even acquiring their seeds or from just substituting them for herbal highs.

Friends

One of the major parts of the cannabis smoking experience is the social aspect of who you smoke with and where you smoke it. If your partner goes to a friend's house to smoke and you don't want to tell them not to go see their friend, then you need to consider speaking to their friend and voicing your concerns. If they are a true friend to your partner then they will be the best person to be able to help you to get your partner to stop smoking, or at least to get them not to grow it.
