Traffic Exchanges – Are they really worth it?
When I first started out online, I thought traffic exchange websites was a terrific easy way to get free traffic to my website.
I must have joined 20 or so traffic exchanges.
First of all, to give you FULL warning, if you intend on using traffic exchanges, set up a free email account where you don’t mind receiving a lot of junk mail.
Because once you give out your email address to most of these “Traffic Exchange” websites, it’s darn hard to get them to STOP emailing you. It usually requires you canceling your account with them and some of them don’t give you their correct email address so you are unable to contact them if you have problems canceling your account with them.
Now… What type of traffic can you expect in return?
Honestly? Not much and definitely not high quality traffic.
You see, most people surfing these traffic exchange websites are in the same situation as you. They want free traffic to their website!
The one traffic exchange program I did find that turned out to be OK was trafficswarm.com.
I did actually receive a couple of sign up’s to my newsletters from using trafficswarm.
Now, I wouldn’t recommend spending your day surfing to get hits… But what you can do is, set it up as your main front page, every time it loads you will receive a point.
If you’re a frequent surfer online, you will easily acquire a good 20 points a day, and it didn’t take you much effort at all! All you need to do is set your homepage and you’re done!
