My 5 Top Working From Home Tips

When someone tells me that they work from home, I immediately think one of two things. Firstly I wonder if they have the incredible lifestyle that everyone associates with working from home and secondly I wonder what they do that allows them to Work from Home. As a Digital Entrepreneur I find myself working from home a lot. My business is fairly young and I spend many hours sitting at my computer creating a business model that I believe will eventually give me the financial freedom that I desire. By financial freedom I mean having more time and money to do what I really want to do. However as of now I can assure you that it's pretty hard work and I am certainly not living 'the laptop lifestyle'. Saying that I am my own boss and to a certain degree master of my own destiny. Over the past few months I have learned how to adapt to working from home and here are some of my top Working From Home Tips.

Have a Basic Routine

The most basic working from home tip is to have a set daily routine. It is so easy to get caught up doing all sorts of jobs when you are working from home. From DIY, enjoying TV, spending time with kids, there are distractions all over the place. Make sure that you have a set routine that allows you to fit in everything you want but remember that when you are working you focus everything on what you need to achieve.

Plan Daily Tasks

Another great working from home tip is to make sure that you plan your daily tasks. I am talking specifically about your work tasks. If you need to write a blog make sure you allocate the required quantity of time tocomplete that task. What you may find is that each day you have a list of task to complete and if you are anything like me you will find that the list never gets finished. I good working from home tip is to write down how long each task is taking you to complete and when you have to do it again you allocate more or less time. Eventually you will know exactly how long each task takes you and what you can achieve each day.

Always prioritise

This working from home tip is very important to the success of your business. You must make sure that you prioritise all tasks that are most import to the actual making money part of your business. By this I mean, for example, that you can have the best looking website but if you are not marketing your product and driving traffic to your website you will have no sales. In this example you would want to spend eighty percent of your time doing marketing and driving traffic and twenty percent on website cosmetics.

Never Give Up

The fourth golden nugget in my selection of Working from Home Tips is never Give Up! It is not going to be easy and you will have many occasions when you wonder if what you are doing is a good idea. You may be surrounded by many who feel that you are putting everything on the line for the wrong reasons. You may find that you are spending too much cash on advertising for no return, or you could simply feel lost and vulnerable at the thought of the amount of work that you need to commit to. Whatever doubts you have put them behind you and keep going! For one you do not know how close you are to success and secondly if it were easy everyone would be doing it! Never Give Up!

Get an Education

The number one working from Home Tip is to get an education. Never be afraid to learn and never be afraid to spend money on improving your knowledge. Make sure you learn from someone who is actively walking the walk in your particular niche and has a proven track record to talk the talk. In my own personal capacity I spent for too much money and time trying to learn it on my own and once I accepted that I needed to learn from an authority my business started to gather momentum.
