A Payday Loan Online Can Bring Relief To Hurting Bank Accounts

by Laura J Solomon

In this tough economy fast and convenient payday loans online are bringing relief to consumers who have experienced a job loss or other change in income. Most of us have been faced with a situation where our bank balance just won't support incoming bills and charges. With Internet banking being so popular and widely used, many people opt to have bill payments come out of their bank account automatically.

That's great for those who don't want to deal with writing checks, buying stamps, and having to remember when to send out payments. If your income is steady and you know your account will support automatic payments, this can be a very convenient system. But what happens when there is a change in monthly income and you all of a sudden can't support those incoming payments? You know your creditors will be pulling out their money any day and the money is not going to be there. It may be time to get a fast payday loan online to help cover those incoming expenses.

When automatic debits come through your account and the money isn't there to support them, you will incur NSF (non-sufficient funds) fees. Once your bank balance goes to zero, anything that comes through as insufficient will be assessed a fee. If you have multiple charges coming through that are rejected as NSF, you will charged for each one. With NSF fees as high as $35 you could end up with quite a hefty negative bank balance. Until you get those fees taken care of, anything you deposit in your bank will go to what you were charged and your debts will not be paid. Taking out a reliable payday loan online to cover you bank account will help you avoid being charged NSF fees.

On top of being charged NSF fees you may have to pay "extended overdraft fees" if you have a negative bank balance for several days (usually more than a week). This amount is usually around $5 which is assessed on top of the NSF fees. It can feel like you are never going to get your account back in the black. Banks have the right to close your account if you are still overdrawn past 60 days (credit unions are 45 days) which will result in the bank charging off your account and the information being send to a third-party collection agency. You may also have your information sent to ChexSystem which will hinder your ability to open another checking account anywhere else. This will also affect your credit score.

Letting your bank account go overdrawn is to say the least…not good. Not only will it cost you financially but will jeopardize your credit rating and future banking options. Taking out a payday loan online can help temporarily while you get back on your feet with your finances. Payday loans are short-term and are meant to be paid back with your next paycheck but at least you will prevent your account from going overdrawn and risking paying twice as much in fees because the money wasn't there when your automatic payments went through.
